Maunga Kereru

Over the past 13 years I have been fully engaged with researching embodied experiences of spirit within form through listening to and working within the 10 acre property I live on 45 mins north of Auckland in Mahurangi called Maunga Kereru.

Here I have focused on the potential of the process of art making, and the outcomes of the process, to function as agents of healing. The orientation of healing is not to think about living systems, be it a body, a community, a site, as something that needs fixing as if it is broken. But rather to focus on the qualities within systems that can be harnessed and brought to the foreground so the characteristics that emerge naturally from within them are balanced, so they can enliven the living systems they radiate close to.
